How to continue browsing from desktop to mobile.

Have you ever been reading or viewing something on the web and wanted to read it to someone in the other room, or had to open it on your mobile or iPad and leave your desk quickly?

There’s a very easy way to do so on the spot, without having to bookmark it and then sync with iCloud, or even copying the URL and emailing it to yourself.

Tab transmit is a pretty handy way to continue browsing on your mobile.

Ingredients needed:

  • Safari Browser
  • Tab Transmit – Safari Extension (This is the trick)
  • iPhone, or any smartphone
  • A QR code scanning app

Preparation:

  1. While using Safari, just press the Tab Transmit button in your Safari toolbar, and a QR code is directly generated for the tab you’re viewing and is shown in a lightbox on top of your web page.
  2. Scan it with your QR scanning app, et voilà, it opens on your phone.
